Doula care, the evidence behind it.

When a doula suggests hiring their services, it is not solely for the purpose of securing employment. We are confident in the significant impact we make. We witness the benefits firsthand and receive positive feedback from our clients. Furthermore, there is substantial evidence supporting the effectiveness of doula care. For further information, I will provide links to studies on doulas at the end of this post.
While I understood the importance of my actions, observing the numerical data is particularly significant.
Increase in successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean)
Promote and enhance breastfeeding practices
Reduction in preterm births
Shorter labor durations
Reduced anxiety
Lower induction rates
Decreased use of pain medication
Reduced incidence of low birthweight in infants
Improved APGAR scores
Lower cesarean section rates
Greater satisfaction with the birth experience
